Hello, my dear friend Elisa. How is your life going? Two long months have passed, since I wrote you my last mail. I wonder if you can come to Russia and visit my hometown - Moscow. I would like to invite you to one of my favorite Russian holidays - the Victory Day. It is the greatest federal event, celebrated each year in May. You should see it. We can go to the Red Square, where the main events will be - the military parade, big live concert and the fireworks at night. You will see veterans wearing their medals, people dancing and singing everywhere.

I hope, you will come a little bit earlier to have an opportunity to participate in another Russian holiday, known as the religious one - the Shrovetide. It is an old folk holiday, celebrated within the last week before Great Lent. During the whole week meat is forbidden to eat. The most popular food in Shrovetide - the thin pancakes, crepes and eggs. Easter has no fixed date, so you must come and see it as soon as possible!
