What do you know about the fist English settlements in America and the fist English colonists?

The English had not established a permanent settlement in the America. Over the next century, they outpaced their rivals. The English encouraged emigration far more than the Spanish, French, or Dutch. They established nearly a dozen colonies, sending swarms of immigrants to populate the land. There were many colonies:Roanoke Colony Jamestown, Virginia, St. George's, Bermuda, Bristol's Hope, Plymouth Council for New England, Renews, New Scotland, Newfoundland and many others.
