There are so many interesting animals in Australia, but I'd like to tell you about the funniest of them, I guess. This is Koala. It is an Australian resident, and the first message about it appeared in 1798. It's very handsome in its appearance: wide face with small eyes, watchful, shaggy ears, a crooked nose and soft silvery fur. It looks like real Teddy bear. An adult animal eats only eucalyptus leaves and never drinks, because there is so much juice in them which replaces water to this fanciful animal. The Australian aborigines called it "Koala" which means "not to drink". Koala eats more than 1 kg of leaves every day. The animal does not recognize other food, even if it's hungry. Amazing, but I'd like to go to Australia and see this unusual animal with my own eyes.
