    We deal with phrasal verbs:

    to take care of - to keep someone or something saved or provided for;

    to take place - to happen, to occur;

    to take part in - to participate;

    to take off - to put cloths off.

    What is the difference between "first" and "at first". Phrase "at first" means "initially, at the very beginning". "First think, then speak" is used as a set-phrase.

    He takes care of his little brother and sister.

    The film festival takes place in our town every year.

    Our team took part in the sport competition and won it.

    It's warm here. Take your coat off.

    At first they wanted to go to the café, but then they went to the park.

    First think for a minute, then speak.
