I think that some people like to collect things because they love this feeling of having something in control. Your collection is your little city, a small castle, that you have built by yourself, and so you can be proud of it, as if it is your child.

I have a collection of small toy cars, and it makes me really happy, when I see my little parking lot every day, when I come back from school. It is pretty inspiring for me - to see, that you can create something that big and meaningful by yourself.
