I was driving fast because I was late. I was going to the airport to meet a friend. I was late because a patient had telephoned before I left the house. The police was waiting at the side road outside town. When they saw me they stopped me. I told I had booked for speeding. I tried to explain to them that my friend's plane had landed a few minutes before and he was waiting for me, but they didn't want to listen to my excuse. They said I had to pay $50 the next day.
