1. The manager gave the secretary a lot of instructions. The secretary was given a lot of insructions by the manager.

2. The chief asked everybody not to be late. Everybody was asked by the chief not to be late.

3. The father promised the boy a new bike. The boy was promised a new bike by the father.

4. People speak a lot about that event. That event is spoken a lot.

5. He will show some slides during the lecture. Some slides will be shown by him during the lecture.
