Buryatia - a republic that is included in the Russian Federation. It was created in 1932. The capital is Ulan-Ude. Buryatia borders not only with the republics of the federation, but also with Mongolia. In Buryatia there are two state languages, Russian and Buryat. The republic is located in Asia in the south of Eastern Siberia. On its territory there is a large part of Lake Baikal. Its relief is characterized by alternation of mountain ranges and deep depressions. The climate of Buryatia is sharply continental. There are very cold winters. Summer is short but hot. The flora and fauna of the republic is diverse and unique. 250 species of endemics live on the territory of Baikal.
