Some verbs are usually only used in Present Simple:

- possession: belong, have;

- senses: feel, hear, see, smell, taste;

- feelings: hate, hope, like, love, prefer, regret, want, wish;

- brain work: believe, know, think, understand;

- state: be, cost, fit, mean, suit.

Глагол "have" может принимать форму "having" лишь тогда, когда образует единое смысловое целое с некоторыми существительными (to have dinner, to have breakfast, to have lunch, to have a good time, to have a shower, to have a bath, to have a lesson ...).

"Where are you? - I'm having a bath" - "Где ты? - Я принимаю ванну".
