1) Your grandfather was a millionaire, wasn't he? 2) The twins arrived last night, didn't they? 3) Bill put the money in the bank, didn't he? 4) You had a good time, didn't you? 5) There was Ann on the phone, wasn't she?

Таким образом, если основная часть предложения отрицательная (с частичкой not), то хвостик должен быть положительный, и наоборот - если основная часть положительная, то хвостик отрицательный.
