В данном задании нам необходимо вставить перед существительными либо артикли a / an, либо местоимения some / any. Но прежде чем приступать к этому заданию, нужно вспомнить, в каких случаях мы используем эти артикли и местоимения.

Артикли a / an

Артикли ставятся перед существительными в единственном числе. Артикли a / an ставятся перед теми существительными, которые обозначают предметы, с которыми мы сталкиваемся впервые.

Разница между a и an в том, что a ставится перед словом, начинающемся с согласного звука, а an перед словом, начинающемся с гласного звука:

an apple; a ball; an ant. Местоимения some / any

Оба местоимения обозначают какую-то часть.

Их очень легко различать, так как some употребляется только в утвердительных предложениях. Местоимение any употребляется в вопросительных и отрицательных (когда отрицания выражается при помощи вспомогательного глагола и частицы not) предложениях.

Но надо иметь ввиду, что они используются не во всех случаях: местоимения не употребляются когда мы говорим не о какой-то части, а о целом. Например: I want to buy some apples (не все яблоки, а какую-то часть). I love apples (в целом).
