1. I was going to the University yesterday when I saw a house on fire. 2. What did you do yesterday? - I worked in the morning and skated in the afternoon. 3. They came in when I was having dinner with my friend. 4. I was reading the newspaper when you rang me up. 5. When I saw him, he was standing in the street. 6. As my brother was getting off the tram, he fell and broke his leg. 7. On Sunday when I was coming from a walk, I met a strange man. 8. He didn't see me, as he was reading a book when I came into the room. 9. The ship started at once, because the wind then was blowing in the right direction. 10. When I woke this morning it was so late that the sun was shining high in the sky.
