Заполнив пропуски в предложениях из задания глаголами must not ( = нельзя, запрещено) и need not ( = необязательно; нет необходимости), мы получим следующее:

1) You need not ring the bell. I have a key.

2) "You must not play with matches", said Mother.

3) I need not go to the shops today. There is plenty of food in the house.

4) You must not strike a match; the room is full of gas.

5) We need not drive fast; we have plenty of time.

6) You must not drive fast; there is a speed limit here.

7) You need not turn on the light; I can see quite well.

8) You must not ask a woman her age. It's not polite.
