2. I managed to wake up at five but it wasn't easy.

3. He hasn't been able to call them yet but he can call them tomorrow.

4. She managed to win the race and got a gold medal.

5. Could you explain the rule again? But in fact it is possible to say: " May you repeat the rule again? " The difference is that could is used when we want to sound more polite and may is used in formal speech.
