Чтобы построить предложение в Present Continuous, нужен вспомогательный глагол to be и смысловой глагол с окончанием - ing. Глагол to be имеет формы am, is, are (I am; he / she / it is; you / we / they are).

Необходимо обратить внимание, что глаголы, выражающие состояние, чувства или мыслительные процессы, не употребляются в Continuous: Lida wants an ice cream. - Лиде хочется мороженого.
