2. In - предлог локальный (Где?). А нам нужен предлог направления (Куда?), а это и есть предлог to.

Предлоги с датами: с временем - at, c днями недели и определенными датами - on, с месяцами и годами - in. (К предложениям 3, 4, 5, 6, и 8).

7. Go to school - устойчивое выражение. Но есть и с предлогом at, но с другим значением: to be at school - быть в школе.
