Compare your school day with the school day in England

The usual school day in Russia is divided into two shifts: the first begins at 8 o'clock and finishes at half past one, and the second begins at half past one and finishes at 7 p. m. The children have 5 or 6 lessons a day. One lesson lasts 40 minutes and after each lesson there are 10-15 minutes for a break. All children have their lunch in school canteen. After classes some of them stay at school for extra classes. Children go to the gym or to the different clubs such as foreign languages, exact sciences and others. In England a school day lasts from 9 a. m. till 3.15 p. m. They get a lunch break. Many children take food from home in their lunch boxes. Children studies maths, reading, writing and get ready for their exams at the end of the year. They have Music, PE, English Literature, Art and Science. After school children usually go to the sports club.
