Last week we took our 15-year-old son Joe to Paris where we had lived for five years before we moved to England. We visited the park where Joe played with his friends. When we came up to our house we saw Emmy Duchen, our former maid, who was standing outside with a happy smile on her face. She exclaimed: "Oh, Janet, you haven't changed at all! And Joe looks such a big and handsome boy! When you come next time I'll make Joe's favorite cherry pie. How are you doing at school, Joe?" Her questions were endless.
