Глагол "to be" имеет следующие формы: am, is, are. Выбор формы глагола зависит от подлежащего. Глагол-связка "are" употребляется во множественном числе (согласуется с местоимениями you, they, we). Глагол-связка "is" употребляется в единственном числе третьего лица единственного числа (согласуется с местоимениями he, she, it). Глагол-связка "am" употребляется с местоимением первого лица единственного числа (с местоимением I).

1) Miss Alison is a teacher.

2) We are from Ukraine.

3) My teacher is from Great Britain.

4) l am not from Great Britain.

5) They are very good friends.
