The City of London is its central part, it is also the oldest part of London. Many people work in the city but very few live there. There are a lot of banks and offices in the City. Two wonderful places of interest are situated in this part of London. They are Tower of London and st paul's Cathedral. The tower of london, or the tower, is an ancient castle on the north bank of the Thames. There are some buildings on its territory behind strong grey walls. The White Tower which gave the name too the place is a central building. The Tower of London was a palace, a fortress, a prison and the king's zoo. Now it is a museum. The Tower of London has some interesting traditions. One of them is to keep black ravens in its territory. They say Britain will be strong, powerful and successful if ravens don't leave the Tower.

Лондон - столица Соединенного королевства Великобритании и Северной Ирландии, его политический, культурный и деловой центр. Лондонский Сити - его центральная часть, это также старейший район Лондона. Многие люди работают в Сити, но совсем мало там живут. В Сити расположено много банков и учреждений. В этой части Лондона находятся две чудесные достопримечательности - Лондонский Тауэр и Собор Святого Павла. Лондонский Тауэр, или просто Тауэр, - это древний замок на северном берегу Темзы. На его территории, позади мощных серых стен находится несколько зданий. Белая башня - именно она дала название всему месту - его центральное здание. Лондонский Тауэр был и дворцом, и крепостью, и тюрьмой, и даже королевским зоопарком. Теперь это музей. В Лондонском Тауэре существует несколько интересных традиций. Одна из них - держать черных воронов на территории комплекса. Говорят, что Британия останется сильной, мощной и успешной державой, если вороны не улетят из Тауэра.
