1) When you get a lot of money for the job you have it well-paid.

2) You found a good job. You want to get it. You apply for this job. The variant 'send a letter' can be also ok, but you should add 'a letter of application' or 'cover letter'. Moreover, nowadays very often you should apply online, hence, you can't send a letter. The last variant 'you think of it a lot' is not the right way. If you do nothing, only think, instead of applying, you'll probably loose this job.
