'I am dreadfully sorry, Jane, but I'm afraid your father had an accident this morning in work and is in hospital. They aren't able to give me many details, but they tells me he is going to be all right. I'll drive you over there now.' When they arrived at the hospital Jane was amazed to see her father sitting up in bed and smiling broadly as they were walking into his hospital room. 'Father, I was so worried, I thought something dreadful had happened.' 'Oh, there's no need to worry. I broke my arm but the nurses here are taking such good care of me, they are wonderful. And Jane, I think ... ' Jane smiled at her friend, and knew that everything was going to be all right!
