2) The Smiths had a party.

3) The Lomovs were busy.

4) The Whites have lunch at home.

5) The Jacksons are in the country now.

Все наши предложения были в единственном числе третьего лица. После изменения предложения стали в множественном числе, поэтому все глаголы приняли форму, которая употребляется для множественного числа.
