1. Christmas is popular in Britain. British people have this holiday on the 25th of December.

2. They clean the houses, decorate Christmas trees with balls and coloured lights, hang Christmas stockings by the fireplace and send SMS and postcards to their friends and relatives.

3. They cook a roast turkey and special puddings. They go to church and have a good time.

4. I like this holiday. We have many traditions to celebrate Christ's birth. On the Holy Evening all our family gets together to have the Christmas Supper. According to the tradition there are 12 different dishes on the table. We start eating when the first star appears on the sky. After supper we like to sing carols. In the morning we go to church to listen to the Christmas sermon.
