My favorite day is the day of preparation for the New Year. Not the New Year itself, but the day before it. I like when dad and I open a box with a Christmas tree and start to collect it. Each time it turns out different, because it is very difficult to straighten all the branches equally. And every time it turns into a fascinating activity. On this day, my mother and I also traditionally bake gingerbread cookies. Mom kneads the dough, and I cut out the figures. After baking, the most exciting process begins - painting the cookies. I just love to draw and here I have the opportunity to show all my fantasy. I also like packing gifts. We always cut out the gift paper of the right size ourselves, wrap the boxes and tie them beautifully with colorful ribbons. Every year I look forward to this day of preparation for the holiday.
